My Summer

Summer of 2017 was a boring yet somewhat relaxing one.

Unlike most of my friends who have been traveling around the world or prepping for SAT, I spent many nights planning out the rest of the year, and contemplating about life and my purpose. 

The things that was exciting for me, might be totally boring compared to other's exciting summer stories. But what can I say? These events below are the most exciting things that happened to me this summer. 

Some "exciting" events that happened in my summer :

1. the internet : One of the only exciting part of my dull and boring summer. I applied to some online classes to learn more about coding, but in the end, I used the internet for my entertainment mostly. 

2. cybersecurity camp : I spent 4 days and 4 nights at PSU and     learnt about programming, cybersecurity issues, and etc. The nights were a bit tough without AC, but it was fun and educational.  

3. VBS : I volunteered at a VBS for 5 days, got to do some crafts and learned a bit more about playing with kids. 

4. the little amount of traveling that I've done every week : 

to beaches, local lakes, to random places, the driving was probably my favorite part about the trips. 

5. the eclipse : I would be lying if I said that I enjoyed the eclipse. I couldn't see much from Portland, and the eclipse didn't last very long. Since I have seen a full eclipse when I was 10, it wasn't much of an excitement for me as it was for others.
